BT4Europe, the European Network of Business Travel Associations, is thrilled to announce the addition of FCM as its latest affiliate member. FCM, a globally recognized travel management company, will join the BT4Europe working groups to focus on spearheading sustainable business travel practices. Specifically, FCM’s Global Sustainability Lead, Glenn Thorsen, is joining the BT4Europe Sustainability Working Group. This set of dedicated professionals will be addressing the challenges and recent legislations put in place for business travel.
The group will be putting particular emphasis on carbon emission reduction in line with European Green Deal targets, and actively developing a roadmap to improve access to streamlined, accurate, and comparable data on the CO2 impact of business travel in the air, rail, and hotel industries.
BT4Europe is steadfast in its dedication to promoting and supporting European legislation that fosters sustainable business travel practices.
FCM and BT4Europe are joining forces to expand the scope of CO2 emissions data availability, beginning with the development of a standard CO2 emissions calculation methodology for business travel services.
Commenting on this partnership, Patrick Diemer, Chair of BT4Europe, said, «FCM’s commitment to sustainability perfectly aligns with our goals. Together, we aim to lead the way in promoting eco-friendly business travel practices and making carbon emissions data more accessible and transparent within the industry.»
Glenn Thorsen, Global Sustainability Lead at FCM, added, «Sustainability is at the core of FCM’s corporate values, and we are thrilled to be part of BT4Europe’s Sustainability Working Group. By joining forces, we can pioneer meaningful changes in how business travel impacts our environment, all while enhancing the traveler’s experience.»
